Talking Golf With a Founding MEaster

By FAME Communications & Adolf Javier, ME 1981.5

The Beginnings of a Golfing Journey

Adolf started playing golf in 1988. At that time, he was based in Orange County, California, where his home course—Tustin Ranch Golf Course—was located. In the early days, golf was a business tool for Adolf, seeing as all of his top clients played the sport. But beyond that, it gave him the opportunity to get better acquainted with them past the professional level. At some point though, the golf bug hit Adolf, and he started playing every chance he got.

An Unforgettable Memory on the Course

In the Anaheim Golf Course, Adolf shared how from 90 yards away, he hit his third shot on a par 5 and holed it for an eagle. The moment was made even sweeter as he was playing with a beautiful interior designer at the time, who in the midst of his celebration, he hugged and kissed! Another memory Adolf recalled was from the second or third MEasters Golf Tournament in Valley Golf North Course, where he birdied three par 3s and one par 4 to emerge as the class A champion. That was the time he was playing about four rounds per week.

Adolf Javier is an active member of the MEasters golf community, which is currently headed by Dindo Medina and Froi Tejada. Be sure to join the next tournament later this year for the best connections and memories.
