As the host batch for this year’s much-anticipated FAME homecoming, ME Batch 2000 is stepping into the spotlight with a celebration that’s equal parts heartfelt reunion and forward-looking reflection. Twenty-five years since walking the halls of Ateneo as students, this remarkable group returns to campus—not just with milestones in hand, but with memories, wisdom, and a deep sense of community.
From Then to Now: The Journey of ME 2000
“Twenty-five years ago, we were fresh ME graduates, full of hopeful dreams and tight-knit as a batch, ready to take on the world,” shares Lai Filart, the batch’s representative. Today, those dreams have blossomed into achievements across industries—from corporate boardrooms and government service to startups and social enterprises.
But even more enduring than their professional success is the bond they’ve kept over the years. “What truly shines are the friendships we forged back then, which have only gotten stronger. Our batch isn't just about what we've done, but who we are to each other.”
A Flashback to Formative Years
Ask ME 2000 about their favorite memories, and it’s a flood of warmth, chaos, and camaraderie.
It’s the mid-day games of bridge at Rizal Library, the daily sprints between Bellarmine and SEC, and the legendary lunch breaks at Full House and Manang’s. It’s those first nights of "Katips adventures” and dancing until sunrise at Hard Rock Cafe—a generation living fully in every free moment they had.
But beyond the fun was the formative: intense classroom discussions, group projects that led to all-nighters and unintended sleepovers, and breakthroughs made in the midst of exhaustion and laughter. These weren’t just academic experiences—they were the training grounds for real-world leadership, collaboration, and resilience.
Hosting MEllennium: What to Expect This Year
This year, ME 2000 brings all of that experience, energy, and heart to the table as hosts of MEllennium: A Legacy of Excellence, A Future of Breakthroughs.
Attendees can look forward to a six-hour celebration on campus that reflects both the batch’s spirit and the ME community’s shared legacy. Some highlights include:
