This year’s homecoming celebration marks a major milestone for ME Batch 2015—a decade since they walked the halls of the Ateneo as college students. As they look back, it’s not just the classes or orgs they remember, but the quiet, powerful in-betweens: the late-night group chats, the refuge found in JSEC meals, and the unspoken camaraderie that grew stronger with every pitch, defense, or sleepless night.
“It may sound cliché,” shares Paulo Antonio, “but the best days of our Ateneo ME years lived in the in-betweens. Not in the grades or the final presentations, but in the quiet spaces between the chaos. We didn’t just survive, we built something.”

Surprise Sendoff for Batchmates Going on JTA
For Amber Tan, those memories go beyond coursework. They’re made up of JTA sendoffs, MEA review sessions, post-hell-week dinners, and friendships that carried on well past graduation. “The friends we’ve forged in the ME program are the same people in our lives today,” she reflects. “From blockmates to business partners, thesis-mates to wedding entourage.”

It’s been ten years—and yet, in many ways, ME 2015 is just getting started. Across industries and across the world, they’ve gone on to make their mark: building companies, leading teams, earning advanced degrees, and creating lives that reflect the grit and discipline honed in the ME program.
But perhaps more than the resumes, what stands out is the mindset they still carry.
“We are sharper, steadier, more grounded,” Paulo says. “We carry the same fire, but now we know how to use it. And as we look ahead, it is not just nostalgia we feel, but energy.”
“Not everyone ends up in a job that uses their ME major,” Amber adds, “but what ME cultivated in us is the discipline to keep at it in the face of failure, the desire to create structure that works, and the gift of people we can call our friends for life.”

Block T of ME Batch 2015 at Graduation
As the batch reunites for this year’s homecoming, they’re not just celebrating a past well-lived—they’re embracing a future still unfolding.
“Hey ME 2015,” Amber says with a cheerful tone, “looking forward to [coming] together once again to not only reminisce [about] our college years, but to create new memories and celebrate the people we are today.”
“The story continues,” Paulo echoes. “And the best chapters are still about to be written.”
